Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Bachelor's / Master's Degree with minimum 8+ years of overall professional experience and minimum 2+ years' experience in managing/leading software development teams. 

2. Proven understanding or hands-on experience in data engineering, including the creation and management of sophisticated data pipelines, data streams, and data storage solutions.

3. In-depth understanding of platform development processes, from the initial concept through to the execution and optimization stages.Talent for mentoring and developing a team's skills in data engineering and platform development is required.

Requirements:

1. Solid hands-on experience with Kafka / Flink for streaming data services and Spark for batch processing

2. Proven experience in working with services like S3 and Athena / Trino / Presto for data storage and compute

3. Extensive experience in building high-performing APIs using Python and/or Java, and proven history of developing common libraries.

4. History of effectively navigating and managing the unique challenges and opportunities presented by data and platform engineering projects.

5. Proven experience with at least one of the cloud computing infrastructures - GCP / Azure / AWS

6. Liaison with Product Management, DevOps, QA and other teams

7. Performance management, Sprint management, Roadmap, Hiring, Onboarding, Mentoring, Costing, Documenting

8. Awareness of Secure Development process and practices

9. Awareness of Information Security concepts and Best Practices.
