About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Principal Solutions Consultant to join our dynamic team in the ANZ region. This is a crucial, high-impact role where you will be the technical anchor for the sales team, responsible for owning the pre-sales process from start to finish. You will leverage your deep technical expertise and exceptional communication skills to simplify complex solutions, articulate business value, and build trust with prospective clients.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Technical Sales & Solutioning: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for prospective clients, understanding their business challenges and technical requirements in detail.

  • Proof of Concept (POC) & RFP Management: Own and lead all technical aspects of the sales cycle, including managing and executing Proof of Concepts (POCs) and responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs) with precision and clarity.

  • Technical Presentations & Demonstrations: Craft and deliver compelling, customized technical presentations and product demonstrations that effectively showcase the value of the MoEngage platform and its capabilities.

  • Business & Value Engineering: Translate complex technical features into tangible business value propositions, using a value-based selling approach to help customers understand the return on their investment.

  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Account Executives, Product Management, and Engineering teams to ensure a seamless sales process, provide market feedback, and influence the platform's future roadmap.

  • Ecosystem Expertise: Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in SaaS, customer engagement, marketing automation, and adjacent technologies to act as a trusted advisor to clients.

  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create comprehensive technical documentation, solution designs, and knowledge base articles to support the sales process and educate internal teams.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 6-8 years of experience in a solutions consulting, pre-sales, or sales engineering role within the SaaS industry, with significant experience in the Australian market.

  • Technical Acumen: A strong, foundational understanding of SaaS architecture, data systems, SDKs, APIs, and a variety of SaaS integrations. You should be able to discuss technical concepts with developers and architects.

  • Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to run and manage complex pre-sales engagements, including competitive deals, RFPs, and extensive POCs.

  • Exceptional Communication: A natural ability to demystify and simplify complex technical concepts for a diverse audience, including C-level executives, marketing leaders, and technical teams.

  • Customer-Centric: A proactive and empathetic approach to understanding customer problems and a genuine desire to solve them.

  • Value-Driven: Experience with value-based selling and the ability to articulate business impact and ROI.

  • Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is highly preferred.

  • Domain Knowledge: Prior experience with customer engagement, marketing automation, or analytics platforms is a significant advantage.
