Position: Associate Legal Counsel
Position Summary: As an Associate Legal Counsel, you will be expected to collaborate across functions to ensure the company's compliance with laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Agreement Drafting and Negotiation:
a. Draft and negotiate commercial agreements.
b. Structure, draft, and negotiate various commercial agreements with customers, vendors, service providers and handle subsequent amendments or renewals.
2. Contract Review and Analysis:
a. Review, interpret, and analyze agreements to advise internal teams on their rights and responsibilities concerning those agreements.
b. Ensure that all agreements align with the business model and internal policies.
3. Legal Advice and Research:
a. Provide routine legal advice to business and operations units.
b. Conduct legal research on various topics and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
4. Contract Database Management:
a. Maintain the contract database, including sending renewal reminders and processing any renewal or amendment requests as received.
Qualifications:
- · Bachelor's degree in law (LLB).
- · 2 to 3 years of experience in commercial contract drafting review and negotiation.
- · Candidates with prior experience in contracts in in-house teams will be given preference.
- · Good understanding of contracting/risk issues, including IP, as they apply to the SAAS industry
- · High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- · Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
