As part of the Sales  team at MoEngage, here are some things you can expect:

  • Be the face of the company and drive relationships with C-level executives in enterprise accounts across different verticals in India  
  • Get 100% ownership of the accounts assigned to you and full autonomy to drive them home, with no micro-management
  • Work with a lean team of go-getters in a fast-paced environment which will accelerate your learning and growth 
  • Work with clients across domains and PAN India and not be bound by specific geography or verticals
  • Interact with teams from different domains, including engineering, product, and commercials, and get hands-on experience in dealing with team members from different domains 

 

About the Role: 

As strategic Accounts sales director, you will be managing sales, account growth, and client success objectives at some of our most strategic accounts across various verticals like Consumer Internet, Retail, CPG, Media and entertainment, and Travel and hospitality. 

  • Development and execution of strategic account management plans for assigned accounts.
  • Create a network of influencers in the industry who can help create a network effect and increase our outreach/presence 
  • Competition mapping and understanding the key differences between us VS our competitors 
  • Stay on top of emerging trends in technology and new business opportunities
  • Be the eyes and ears of the company and share regular product feedback of clients/ prospects with the product team 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for managing new business development, hitting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Handle End to End sales cycle from Product demo, Technical Evaluation, Multi-threading, Establishing value to multiple stakeholders, Relationship Building, Negotiating, to putting a paycheck on the table 
  • Work closely with Inside Sales and Marketing to generate leads, nurture them, and convert them into opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain CXO relationships with new prospects and partners in the region
  • Evangelize key trends in the  marketing ecosystem and identify emerging trends in the region to shape the future of Moengage product
  • Participate and represent MoEngage at various external events, and forums to build the status of a trusted advisor on all things Customer Engagement
  • Establish account relationships with key decision-makers for our customers in the region to build customer loyalty and capitalize on expansion opportunities in the account

 

Skills:

  • 10+ years of closing experience in sales with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the saas domain for the Indian region, preferably MarTech
  • Great saas ecosystem awareness and have closed $100K+ deals solo in a B2B saas "fast-paced" setting
  • Must have a strong network of clients/ connections in the traditional industries
  • Must have pitched to C-level executives in marketing/product or technology domain of traditional companies
  • Experience conducting product demonstrations with the ability to build relevant, strategic messaging
  • Must have strong verbal skills with consultative professional business acumen
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized & self-motivated
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
  • Proven record of achieving sales quota throughout
  • Strong Entrepreneurial spirit - Madly in pursuit of customer success/delight
